PROGRAM FACILITATORS

Program facilitators are lived experienced individuals who conduct OTLR sessions.

Along with the OTLR welfare champion, facilitators encourage discussion, provide insight and use the power of story telling to reduce the stigma.

OTLR facilitators are trained to present on topics such as:

  • Mental Health
  • Drugs and Alcohol
  • Gambling
  • Wellbeing and Lifestyle
  • Leadership and Culture
  • Inclusion and Respect
  • Resilience
  • Cyberbullying

OTLR facilitators are Mental Health First Aid accredited.

WELFARE CHAMPIONS

Welfare champions are registered mental health professionals* who support the education sessions delivered.

Along with OTLR facilitators, welfare champions provide expert insights and skills to participants, while providing on the spot support and guidance.

The role of the welfare champion is to:

  • Provide professional insight and expertise to encourage skill development
  • Break down barriers for seeking professional help and support, by being present and relatable in the sessions
  • Provide immediate support at sessions for those seeking assistance

*Qualified counsellors, psychologists, social workers, mental health nurses, mental health occupational therapists, or other registered mental health professionals.
